I understand Da Vinci's analogy to iron and water as if he wrote the industry "Best Practices" tagline - INACTION in our industry is the ruin of many good intentions resulting in poor results.  This was truly a man of great wisdom.

  AN AN Magazine A PLEAE TO SOMEONE AT THE JAPANESE “AN AN” MAGAZINE (ananweb | ビューティー、ファッション、エンタメ、占い…最新情報を毎日更新！（アンアンウェブ）) While serving in the U.S. Navy and living in Kamakura, I often spent time at the beach in Kiti-Kamakura with my Japanese friends. At the time, a surf shop called NAGANUMA was a popular spot for us. My friends once told me that An An Magazine, a well-known Japanese women's lifestyle publication, planned to feature a piece on me and another sailor enjoying the beach with our friends. I’ve kept a photo of the magazine page, which shows me—with a beard—looking to my right, alongside the words "LOVE TO SURF!" in English. The issue was published in either 1974 or 1975.
